The Holleran Center for Community Action and Public Policy

The Holleran Center for Community Action and Public Policy is a multidisciplinary academic center that advances teaching, learning, research, and community collaborations. It works to create more just and equitable communities through programs that cultivate intellectual and ethical judgment. The Holleran Center prepares students for lives of civic engagement and leadership while collaborating with community partners to advance the public good.

Brown University and South Asian Student Association

The Brown University South Asian Students Association (SASA) embraces South Asian and South Asian American culture and identity within the contexts of the Third World community, the university campus, and the greater global community. SASA hope to build a community that is shaped by the varied social, cultural, and political concerns of South Asians on this campus. They encourage everyone, regardless of ethnic background, to take an active role in our events and activities.

In 2008, FSA partnered with SASA and Brown Badmaash, a dance troupe, on its annual fundraiser on the Brown University Campus. The event raised $18,000, benefiting 100 families in Sangli.

Connecticut College Asian/Asian American Student Association (CCASA)

The Connecticut College Asian/Asian American Student Association (CCASA) provides a supportive environment for Asians and Asian Americans on campus. CCASA seeks to raise awareness of cultural, political, social, and academic issues that concern Asians and Asian Americans, through programming available to the greater College community. CCASA acts as a resource to student of both Asian and non-Asian background and serves as a liaison to other clubs, committees and the administration on behalf ot Asian and Asian American students of Connecticut College.

Indian Medical Associate New England (IMANE)

imane-1 Founded in 1978, Indian Medical Association of New England (IMANE) is a dynamic organization for medical professionals of Indian origin in the New England area. IMANE organizes and supports numerous professional and social activities for the benefit of our members and the communities they serve.
